Carolyn is founder and former CEO of Knowle West Media Centre and Bristol Living Lab located in South Bristol: an arts and media centre that delivers creative and purposeful projects contributing to a wider understanding of the role of co-design with people in communities and cities.
She was formerly on the board of Bristol 2015 (European Green Capital) and on the Regional Arts Council.
In 2009 the University of West of England awarded her an honorary Doctorate for her contribution to education and social justice.
She lead the KWMC’s participation in a wide range of international and citywide arts and cultural projects that have a focus on sustainability, inclusion and building creative, empowered communities.
